Scarlet Leonard Designer Lampwork bead artist jewellery maker

Background

Living in rural Lincolnshire, UK. I grew up with a fascination for friendship bracelets then discovering beads in 1999 I learnt the basics of jewellery making. After 10 years I was pining for more ways to develop my jewellery that's when I met Norbert (my first torch) after three years I upgraded to a more professional torch set up.

Products

All of my lampwork beads are made by me, Scarlet Leonard, in my home studio from the best 104coe glass from around the world. Each bead is annealed in a digitally controlled kiln and cleaned of all bead release before being strung and sold.

Style

My work has developed it's own personality, attempting to bridge the gap between the Art Deco and Hellenistic styles, my colour pallet is formed of darker tones of green, red, blue and purple along side greys and browns. These colours are often punctuated with lighter tones and bright colours.
